Unsigned tanto with NBTHK Hozon, attribution to the Kaifu school. Pre-Edo kotō piece, gunome-midare hamon, nie deki, with lots of activities visible in the habuchi. Horimono of goma-bashi on one side, and sō-no-kurikara with lotus base on the other

Set of Japanese Hanging Scrolls by WATANABE SHOKA
Samurai and painter from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period. The second son of the very famous Kazan Watanabe. A chief retainer of the Tahara clan in Mikawa (Aichi Prefecture). He studied painting with Tsubakiyama and Hanka Fukuda, economic history with Ohashi Rakuan, and poetry with Sekine Chido. He was good at painting flowers and birds. Died on December 29, 1899. He is 53 years old. His name is Kanou. Shoka has long stood in the shadow of his very famous father, but recently the art world has started to recognize his talent

Wild goose, water & moon tsuba
Iron, marugata, with image of wild goose flying over water with the moon reflected in the waves. Other abstract designs are as yet unidentified, and represent something of a mystery

A beautiful Akasaka tsuba
The style of design is very similar to the second generation Akasaka master Tadamasa. Number “872” written inside nakago-ana indicates this tsuba have been part of a museum- or large collection

A Ko-shoami, possibly Muromachi tsuba
The shape and thickness makes this an interesting tsuba. Possibly Ko-Shōami. Number “146” written inside nakago-ana indicates this tsuba have been part of a museum- or very large collection

Owari style Shobu tsuba
The leaves could be iris leaves, which are symbolic of the samurai as their long, slender leaves are said to resemble swords, and the word for iris (shōbu) is a homonym for challenge or contest

Mokko Heianjo-zogan Karakusa tsuba
Assume this is a late Edo tsuba that has not been mounted. But a nice, simple design, and the fine carvings on the rim of the tsuba are also interesting

A Higo Nishigaki tsuba
Iron, maru-gata, image of stylized paulownia leaves in sukashi, inlaid with gold highlights done in nunome-zogan. The design is based on a classic “nage kiri” paulownia leaf design

A very thick and interesting Ko-Shoami tsuba
Iron, kawarigata sukashi tsuba in the shape of a peach, with the surface of the leaves carved in kebori. Possibly (Ko-)Shōami school. A unique and charming tsuba

Introduction
I have decided to offer a lot of items for sale from private collection that was collected for more than +30 years. Its mostly Tsuba I will offer here, but a couple swords, works of art and other items will be offered for sale as well.
Please bear in mind that I dont consider myself as an expert, nor am I a professional dealer. All items are sold from private collection and sold as is. Please judge from the pictures and ask for additional pictures, if you have any doubts.
In the following months, there will be added +150 Tsuba, some fittings, swords and other items.
Offers Are Welcome
The reason for this, is partly because price for Japanese items like Tsuba and swords can be very dificult to determine. Another reason is that the market prices for such as items have decreased significantly the later years and many of the items offered here are probably lower in prices than they was bought for.

A nice big Muromachi Saotome tsuba
This tsuba is most likely Saotome school, even that Myochin is a possibility, but I believe Saotome is correct. This tsuba is very old and probably from Muromachi era
